About South West Community Legal Centre's Legal Service

South West Community Legal Centre (SWCLC) is a community legal centre.  Our legal service provides free legal advice, information, some minor assistance and casework and referrals to low income and disadvantaged people across the South West of Western Australia. We focus on assisting clients who are disadvantaged and cannot otherwise access legal advice, either from a private practitioner, another community agency or through a grant of legal aid.

We offer our services from our main office in Bunbury and through our outreach locations at Busselton, Bunbury Regional Prison, Bridgetown, Collie, Harvey, Margaret River, Manjimup, and Narrogin.

We are a generalist service, providing free preliminary advice on most areas of law, including but not limited to:

  • Family law, including parenting arrangements and property settlement

  • Child support and maintenance

  • Violence restraining orders

  • Consumer and debt issues

  • Criminal injuries compensation

Our outreach program extends across the South West of Western Australia

Our legal team also offer Community Legal Education sessions to interested organisations, community groups and schools.
